Today we celebrated Shwmae day and show racism the red card. We have done lots of activities in class.

This week we have had Big Foot animation in, with the lovely Ellie, teaching us everything stop motion. We loved making our own stargazing movies.

We had to work in our groups to create a story line, we then had to make our models. We had to carefully design them using plasticine and make sure they were strong enough to move around the frames. 

WINNER 3 weeks in a row! We are so excited to of won 100% attendance this week. We are going to go for 4 weeks in a row next week, watch this space.

 

 

 

During empathy this week, we read The Smeds and the Smoods. We sequenced the story and talked about our favourite parts. We discussed what made them different and what made us different. We discussed how it doesn't matter what we look like, it matters whats inside. The children really enjoyed. 

 

TWO weeks in a row!!! we are so happy to have earn our extra play! Well done Year 3. 

Today we took part in a science experiment. We discussed does the height you drop the rock affect the size of the crater. We enjoyed repeating the experiment in our free flow in the afternoon, changing the height and the size. 

Blwydynn tri have won the attendance award today and we enjoyed extra play on the yard this afternoon.

 

Exploring j2e and voting for our favourite planets

This week we have been busy finding out about all the different planets in our solar system. We collected data on own favourite planet. We made our own J2e charts and discussed the data.
