This week we have lots of Eco challenges and activities for you to complete at home. We look forward to seeing your pictures and results. All your work will go towards the school's THIRD Eco flag.
This week, continue to have a look at Swansea Virtual School on the link below and try the Foundation Phase Daily Lesson. Don't forget to practice your reading and maths using the links on the school website.
In addition to the daily lessons, as it is National School Grounds Week this week we are calling on your help for two special challenges....
Your challenge is to design a fun place to play. You may want to think about games you may want on the yard or zones in which you can play certain activities.
Draw your design and send a picture to me on Class Dojo. You may want to use the pictures below for ideas or research some new and different games/zones online with an adult.
We look forward to seeing what your designs look like!
Our gardens are a home to many different butterflies at this time of year. But, did you know that some of them have a pretty exciting life?
The "Painted Lady" visits gardens in the late spring and early summer, having flown all the way from North Africa - that is over 3000km!! WOW what an interesting fact!
Why don't you go out in your garden or on a walk with an adult to search for butterflies. Butterflies like sunny days and places with lots of flowers. I wonder how many different ones you will spot?
Take a photo of any butterflies you spot and share the pictures on Class Dojo.
You can even upload them to Instagram using @ecoschoolswales #EcoSchoolsatHome
Something a little bit different for you to try this week! Swansea Council have set up a virtual school where you can access daily lessons. Click on the link below every day to watch the daily lesson for English Medium Foundation Phase.
Each day there will be a different subject. If you enjoy them, you can even access daily lessons from last week.
Let me know which ones you have tried and how you found it.
And dont forget all the fabulous websites for fun learning games and activities. See second link below.
If there are any favourite stories or particular interests that your children have and would like some learning activities around, let your teacher know and we can plan to include some over the next few weeks.
Have a good week and don't forget to dojo me!
It's half term this week so no focused activities this week.
