We‘ve been having fun this week baking Victorian Sponge cakes - named after Queen Victoria who enjoyed a piece every afternoon.
Enjoying writer’s workshop and we also had a talk about respecting each other. On Universal Children’s Day, year 6 came in to teach us.
Butterfly Hunter activities
We’ve been working hard this week on our rainforest animal reports, our missions and of course Children in Need.
Our favourite activity this week thank you Lacey for adding it to our topic web. We have been creating 3D art using natural materials. Our inspiration being the Butterfly Hunter.

Universal Children’s Day and year 6 came to teach us in class. We thought about how we would change the world for so that all children have rights, for example, the right to clean water. We enjoyed the quiz and we were quite surprised by some facts.
Our superstar this week is Kian. A well deserved award for such a polite and kind young man. Well done Kian. Kian also won the purple award but didn’t want to give up his Rhodri duty. That’s dedication!

Superstar of the week Clara. We will be very sad to see her go but we wish her all the best at her new school.

Theatre Na Nog and Swansea Museum
Shwmae Day outdoor learning
We are looking forward to our trip on Tuesday to see 'The White Feather,' with Theatre Na Nog at the Dylan Thomas Theatre. As you may already know, this November will mark 100 years since the end of WW1. The museum visit and show will focus on the events of WW1 and the children will be able to plan follow up work that interests them.
Congratulations to the star of the week in year 5 Kaydan. He has been working really hard this week and always makes a valuable contribution to class discussions.
