Electric Rainbow

King Sparkle needed our help! We had to help him lighten up his kingdom as all the electric had stopped. The children wrote their own set of intructions using the Pie Corbett scheme on how to catch a star!

Today we explored circuits looking at the cell, cell holder, batteries and wires. All children thoroughly enjoyed and all were engaged.

We also looked at electrical sources around the school. We looked in Dosbarth Three Cliffs, Rhossili and Port Eynon as well as the Pod library and corridors. We found many objects that use electric.

We looked at money during some maths sessions. We used this during our focus task as well as mission areas.

This week we sorted electrical sources into what needs and does not need electricity. The children enjoyed learning about electrical sources.

During this Swansea Museum trip, we looked at the history of electricity and how electric sources are different today.

As a class, we looked at a light film. We looked at the character charly and explained who she was as a person as well as speaking about her job as an inventor.
