Our superstar this week is Honey. Honey was not only my choice this week but also her peers choice. On Thursday 13th February, we attended a swimming gala, that Blaenymaes primary have never competed in before. Honey sometimes find swimming in a deep pool a little daunting, however, she overcame her fears and helped her team succeed! I was very proud Honey! Well done!

Our superstar this week is Lexie. Lexie is a fantastic role model in class and around the school. She has represented the school recently at an event with the Children's Commissioner and spoke with other schools via a web conference. Lexie is working hard to have a positive attitude to work, even when it is a little tricky. Well done Lexie! Keep up the hard work.

Our superstar this week is Kian. Kian works hard in every lesson, he welcomes a challenge and will find strategies to help him solve problems. He is a very good friend and also a fantastic role model for not only the children in the class but also for the younger pupils in school. Well done Kian!

Our superstar this week is Rayan. Rayan has been working on 'not giving up' when he finds something difficult. This week, Rayan was able to solve mathematical problems quicker than me (Mrs Smith). He has worked so hard, without a partner, to complete his Anderson shelter and I am very proud of you Rayan. Believe in yourself! Well done!

Our superstar this week is Ethan. Ethan has been working particularly well in Maths this week. He is working independently to solve problems and using different strategies to find the answers. He hasn't given up when he has found somethings tricky! Keep up the good work!  Well done Ethan!

Our first superstar for 2020 is Caitlin.  Caitlin has returned from the Christmas break with a positive attitude towards learning. She has been trying really hard to work independently and has been on purple Rhodri a few times this week. I'm so pleased Caitlin. Keep up the good work!

Our superstar this week is Josh. Josh is a fantastic role model in class and in school. He has take his role as Head Boy very seriously this term. Josh attended a Children's rights event last week, representing the school and telling other school about what we do in Blaenymaes. Josh give 100% in every lesson and is working hard to learn all his lines for our Christmas concert. Well done Josh!

Our superstar this week is Ty. Ty has been trying really hard in the mission areas this week, working independently and using the 'learning pit' strategies if he finds something tricky. He has impressed Mrs Spooner and Mrs Smith with his maths work this week, finding the area of rectangles. Well done Ty!

Our superstar this week is Sophie. Sophie has represented our school on many occasions this half term as part of her Rights Ambassador role. She has also planned and run charity days in school, including Children in need Day. In class, Sophie has been working hard to improve her writing and not giving up when she finds something tricky. Well done Sophie!

Our superstar this week is Mia. Mia has come back from half term break and has been working super hard in all areas of the curriculum. She has shown kindness to her classmates by helping others on the independent missions. Mia has also been working hard on her role as Nursery Ambassador this week. Well done Mia!

Our superstar this week is Henley. In class we have been working on 'Missions' - these are independent tasks planned with the pupils. Henley has completed all his missions this week and worked really hard on his focus tasks as well. Well done Henley, keep up the good work.

Our superstar this week is Kaydan. Kaydan was nominated as superstar this week for all his hard work as an Anti-bullying Ambassador. He has been checking the Rhodri's Rangers rota and holding regular meetings to ensure everyone is happy on both the infant and junior yards at break times. Miss Bowen and myself have been very impressed by Kaydan's organisational skills and he has been an excellent role model for others in the school. Well done Kaydan!

Our superstar this week is Ellie. Ellie has shown excellent manners in her role as Communication Ambassador, greeting visitors and taking messages. She has also been awarded Superstar this week for working hard at home to complete her homework and learn her times tables. Keep up the hard work Ellie!

Our superstar this week is Honey. Honey always tried her best in all lessons, she has worked particularly hard this week in maths with her multiplication. She has had a positive mindset and worked independently to solve problems which she found a little difficult to begin with. Honey is also taking her ambassador role very seriously and helping Mrs Thomas in the office at playtimes and lunchtimes. Well done Honey!

This week our superstar is Kelsey. Kelsey has been working really well in all lessons this term! She has written a powerful poem based on our War topic. Kelsey has also taken her new role as Flying Start Ambassador seriously and has been helping the Flying start pupils to settle into school. Well done Kelsey!

Our superstar this week is Lexie. In class we have been creating our own poems based on our topic 'The War years' Lexie has written a powerful poem using metaphors, similes and personification in her writing. She had also performed her poem to the class which gave the staff goosebumps! Well done Lexie!

Our first superstar in Year 6 this week is Calum. Calum has had a fantastic start to the year and is eager to start our topics! This week, PC Craig Hadley visited class for a workshop and he was also impressed by Calum's enthusiasm to learn. Well done Calum!
