ACTIVITY ONE: Design our school yard

We need your help!

Can you help Mrs M and Mrs Amirat make the yard a more interesting and fun place to play?

Your challenge is to design a fun place to play. You may want to think about games you may want on the yard or zones in which you can play certain activities.

Draw your design and send a picture to me on Class Dojo. You may want to use the pictures below for ideas or research some new and different games/zones online with an adult.

I look forward to seeing what your designs look like!

ACTIVITY TWO: Beautiful Butterflies

Our gardens are a home to many different butterflies at this time of year. But, did you know that some of them have a pretty exciting life?

The "Painted Lady" visits gardens in the late spring and early summer, having flown all the way from North Africa - that is over 3000km!! WOW what an interesting fact!

Share the pictures you find with me on Class Dojo and you can even upload them to Instagram using @ecoschoolswales #EcoSchoolsatHome

Why not go on a butterfly hunt? Can you find any in the garden or out and about on a walk?

Half Term

Hello all, it half term so I will not be setting any challenges. Please enjoy the time with your children spending time outdoors and exploring. I know I have found places near home that I have not seen before. All within walking distance from the house. Please stay safe and keep well.

I am missing the children so much and can’t wait to be back in school doing what I love and enjoy most, teaching!  I’m counting down the days until we all can go back to normal and we can start doing fun activities again!

There are a few virtual links which you may want to have a look at:

A virtual visit to London Zoo - Their You tube page has lots of videos of their animals

Swansea Bay have a virtual treasure hunt every day of half term - follow them on Facebook and Twitter to join in via this link:

Missing you all! Mrs M 😊
